Detailed Description:
  • Manages Fracturing and Wireline operations at the wellsite and is accountable for their exceptional Service Delivery.
  • Meets regularly with customer on wellsite to coordinate job-related activities.
  • Directs field crews and equipment to carry out contracted services and accomplish company/client objectives and logistics.
  • Recognizes risks associated with the operation, and reduces these risks to as low as reasonably possible.
  • Identifies any potential unplanned changes to the job program at location, and takes the necessary actions to manage the change.
  • Ensures that all employees and contractors at the work site are in compliance with safety standards and other, relevant standards.
  • Manages all personnel to ensure they are competent to drive and/or operate their assigned equipment.
  • Intervenes unsafe acts and violations of safety practices, including but not limited to stopping or suspending operations as considered appropriate to ensure HSE standards and operational procedures are met according to company's policies and relevant state and federal regulations
  • Ensures that the correct people are available, trained and understand their responsibilities in the completions operation; proper equipment and materials arrive on time on location, and are rigged up, tested and ready to perform the job, as requested by client, with no deviations from standard operations.
  • Provides supervision, direction, training and on-going leadership to Site Supervisors; and documents and reports all pertinent crew, equipment and job-related information
  • Analyzes pad location prior to treatments to develop a layout for Frac equipment and placement of customer facilities (pits/tanks/etc.)
  • Ensures pre-job meetings are held with personnel, client and third-party personnel and ensures contingency plans in place prior to the start of the job.
  • Provides technical and operational knowledge along with leadership during the operation to both the customer and crew, and safely remove all Frac equipment from location after the operation is completed.
  • Ensures that Site Supervisors and crew are performing their assigned duties correctly, safely and in accordance with Standards.
  • Responsible for assessing the performance of all direct reports, providing prompt feedback and implementing development plans and/or disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Manage cost controls at well site to keep demurrage down where possible. Plan ahead to prevent unnecessary costs.
  • Comply with all government, industry and company regulations and standards to ensure a healthy and safe work environment, as well as, reduce environmental impact.

Job Requirements:
  • Detail-oriented and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle a dynamic work environment within defined deadlines.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work with consistent follow-through.
  • Maintain a valid driver license and the ability to operate a vehicle for NexTier.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours
  • PC literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task
  • Ability to work closely with fellow employees in a team environment
  • Ability to think and act quickly
  • Self-starting, independent with an ability to work in remote locations without day to day supervision
  • Understand KPI's, RCQA's, and implement improvements
  • Must be organized and attentive to details in a fast-paced working environment

This position will split time between an office environment and working in a warehouse or field setting, which may require working outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation, and heights.
