TTM Technologies is seeking a hands-on, operationally focused Windows Server Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. This is a core operations role responsible for the day-to-day health, patching, management, and lifecycle of TTM's Windows Server environment - on-premises, colocation, and virtualized. The Server Administrator operates as the primary owner of server operations and works independently to keep TTM's server estate secure, compliant, and performing. While the Server Administrator coordinates with the broader IT team, the day-to-day focus is on Windows server operations. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in an operations environment, takes ownership of infrastructure reliability, and brings a strong foundation in NinjaOne RMM, Windows Server administration, virtualization, and PowerShell-driven automation. **Duties and Responsibilities** **Key Responsibilities** • **Server Patching & Compliance - **Own and execute TTM's enterprise server patching program end-to-end using NinjaOne RMM as the primary platform. Define and enforce patch schedules, approval workflows, and maintenance windows across production, staging, and development server environments. Track patch compliance, generate regular patching status reports, and escalate exceptions to IT management. Ensure patch SLAs are consistently met across the global server estate. • **NinjaOne RMM Administration - **Serve as TTM's primary administrator for the NinjaOne RMM platform. Configure and maintain monitoring policies, alert thresholds, patch deployment pipelines, remote access workflows, and automation scripts within NinjaOne. Build and tune custom dashboards for server health, patch compliance, and capacity visibility. Develop NinjaOne automation scripts to reduce manual operational tasks and improve response times across the server estate. • **Windows Server Administration - **Administer TTM's Windows Server environment across all versions (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025) including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS, file services, and print services. Manage server roles, features, and configurations across production, staging, and development environments. Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server issues independently and efficiently. • **Virtualization & VM Management - **Build, configure, manage, and maintain virtual machines on VMware vSphere. Maintain VM templates, manage snapshots, and allocate compute and storage resources based on workload requirements and performance data. Right-size VMs to optimize infrastructure efficiency and perform P2V and V2V migrations as needed. • **Server Upgrades & Lifecycle Management - **Plan and execute server OS upgrades, refresh cycles, and workload migrations with minimal disruption to business operations. Manage the full server lifecycle from provisioning through decommission - including data wiping, asset documentation, and inventory updates. Maintain accurate CMDB / asset records for all managed servers and virtual machines. • **Server Monitoring & Health - **Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and availability using NinjaOne and integrated monitoring tools. Proactively identify and remediate performance bottlenecks, storage capacity risks, and infrastructure anomalies before they impact operations. Deliver regular server health and capacity reports to IT management. • **PowerShell Automation - **Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation workflows to streamline repetitive server administration tasks - including patching automation, health checks, provisioning workflows, compliance reporting, and alerting integrations. Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through scripting and NinjaOne automation. • **DevOps & Automation Practices - **Apply DevOps practices to server operations where applicable - including version-controlled script repositories, automated testing of configuration changes, and repeatable deployment procedures for server builds and upgrades. Experience with infrastructure automation tooling is a plus for driving operational consistency and reducing configuration drift. • **Endpoint Security & EDR Compliance - **Ensure servers are enrolled in and compliant with TTM's endpoint protection platforms - including SentinelOne EDR and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Respond to endpoint alerts and remediate vulnerabilities identified through EDR and patch compliance reporting. • **Incident Response & Troubleshooting - **Respond to and resolve server-related incidents as the primary technical owner, including P1/P2 production outages. Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for server infrastructure events. Maintain and continuously improve operational runbooks based on incident learnings to prevent recurrence. • **Documentation & Change Management - **Create and maintain thorough documentation of server configurations, patch baselines, VM inventories, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Ensure documentation is current, accurate, and accessible to the IT team. Maintain change records for all server modifications through TTM's change management process. **Education and Experience** **Education** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred - or equivalent combination of hands-on experience and technical certifications **Required Experience** • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a server administration or IT infrastructure operations role • **NinjaOne RMM - **Demonstrated, hands-on experience with NinjaOne RMM - including patch deployment, monitoring policy configuration, alert management, remote access, and automation scripting. NinjaOne experience is a primary requirement for this role. • **Windows Server - **Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025) - Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS, file services, and server role management • **Virtualization - **Hands-on experience building, configuring, and managing virtual machines on VMware vSphere - including VM templates, snapshots, cloning, and resource allocation • **Server Upgrades - **Proven experience planning and executing server OS upgrades and hardware refresh cycles with minimal operational disruption. This will be the primary day to day focus to start the role. Focusing on eliminating legacy OS from the environment. • **PowerShell - **Strong PowerShell scripting skills - ability to write, maintain, and operationalize scripts for patching, reporting, provisioning, health checks, and task automation • **Backup & Recovery - **Working knowledge of enterprise backup platforms and restore validation procedures - experience developing and maintaining server recovery runbooks • **Endpoint Security - **Experience with server-level endpoint protection platforms - SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, or equivalent EDR - including enrollment, compliance monitoring, and alert response • **Troubleshooting - **Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - able to independently diagnose and resolve complex Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization issues • **Documentation - **Strong documentation discipline - consistent creation and maintenance of runbooks, SOPs, asset records, and configuration documentation • **Communication - **Clear communicator - able to convey technical issues and status updates to IT peers and non-technical stakeholders with appropriate urgency and clarity **Preferred Experience** • Experience with automation and DevOps practices in a server operations context - version-controlled script repositories (Git), repeatable server build processes, configuration management concepts, or CI/CD pipeline exposure applied to infrastructure workflows • Experience managing servers in a colocation or data center environment - remote hands coordination, rack hardware management, IPMI/iDRAC/iLO out-of-band management, and power management configuration • Familiarity with hybrid identity environments - Active Directory integration with Entra ID, AD Connect, and Group Policy management in hybrid configurations • Familiarity with ITSM platforms - ServiceNow or equivalent - for incident, change, problem, and asset management workflows • Experience in a manufacturing, electronics, or complex global enterprise IT environment **Preferred Certifications** • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate • VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) • CompTIA Server+ • NinjaOne Certified Administrator (if available) • ITIL Foundation - IT Service Management • CompTIA A+ or Network+ (foundational) **What Success Looks Like in This Role** The Server Administrator is doing their job well when TTM's server estate is consistently patched on schedule, servers are healthy and monitored proactively, incidents are resolved quickly with documented root cause analysis, and operational runbooks are current and reliable. Success in this role is measured by patch compliance rates, server availability, mean time to resolution for server incidents, and the quality of documentation and automation that reduces manual effort over time.
