Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a
Windows Platform Engineer to support a company focused on enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and network operations within a large-scale Department of Defense environment. This position is
100% onsite in Norfolk, VA, Honolulu, HI, or San Diego, CA. The Windows Platform Engineer will support the administration, security, compliance, and reliability of enterprise Windows Server environments. Join a team responsible for maintaining mission-critical infrastructure that supports one of the nation's largest and most secure enterprise networks.
Responsibilities for the Windows Platform Engineer include:- Perform Windows Server patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities across enterprise environments.
- Build, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 systems.
- Support the full infrastructure lifecycle, including installation, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Execute STIG remediation activities and ensure systems maintain compliance with security and operational standards.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve issues and improve system reliability and security.
Required Qualifications for the Windows Platform Engineer include:- 2-5 years of experience supporting Windows Server environments, enterprise infrastructure, or systems administration.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, patch management, IAVA remediation, STIG compliance, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Active Secret Security Clearance required .
- Current Security+ certification required.
- Ability to work an afternoon/evening shift, Tuesday through Saturday.
Compensation for the Windows Platform Engineer include:Salary Range: 95,000-100,000 depending on experience
