Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $80,300 - $82,140 (depending on relevant experience)
Schedule: Onsite

Focus: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising hourly bargaining employees, overseeing all phases of operations and development, managing work assignments and scheduling, driving safety initiatives, and achieving plant-related business objectives.

Warehouse Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervises and directs the work activities of hourly employees within the Distribution Center.
  • Adheres to the facility's safety program, including conducting safety meetings and audits, handling first-tier injury/accident investigations, supporting the emergency response team, enforcing safety rules, and ensuring OSHA compliance.
  • Assists in the management of shipping finished goods and miscellaneous materials from East Alton to Oxford, and receiving finished goods and miscellaneous materials from Oxford, Lake City, White Flyer, Manitowoc, and other plants in accordance with company policy and customer-specific requirements and schedules.
  • Supervises employees' activities, plans, and schedules, approves time and attendance in Dimensions, and assigns the workforce rotation. Ensures employees' training, including Job Safety Practices and Standard Operating Procedures, is compliant. Issues discipline and participate in grievance proceedings as needed. Maintains an atmosphere conducive to productivity while promoting good employee relations, motivating and monitoring employees.
  • Utilizes the Blue Yonder (BY) warehouse management system (WMS), supports audits, and cycle count programs.
  • Administers the picking function and material movements for all shipments through BY WMS, which includes meeting customer and labeling requirements, loading and unloading trucks with proper counts, and shipping documentation.
  • Supervises the investigation of customer complaints regarding overages, shortages, damaged goods, etc. Prepare reports of findings and recommendations and discipline when needed.
  • Provides daily problem-solving and troubleshooting support to the Distribution Center.
  • Supports achieving monthly sales goals, delivery order requirements, environmental performance goals, health and safety, quality, and cost performance.

Warehouse Supervisor Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree* preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of direct supervisory or equivalent leadership experience; experience from a unionized high-volume production or manufacturing-oriented organization preferred.
  • Must be able to work 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., flexible to work other shifts, hours, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to serve in the emergency response team and respond to HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) with OSHA training and certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and/or SAP is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, and training facilitation.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Ammunition product knowledge preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.


Location-Specific Requirements:
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.


*Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or an equivalent program from an international university.
