West Region Foodservice Sales Manager

West Region States Include: Arizonia, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming

The Father9s Table is currently searching for a Regional Sales Manager in the Western Region of the United States.

Establish sales strategy and supporting business plan that is focused on growth and profitability for assigned Region.
022 Develop a business plan that includes goals, objectives and strategies that ensure attainment of sales goals and margins to meet profit goals.
022 Ensure business plan is aligned with the objectives and goals of the Division9s strategic plan.
022 Continually review and modify short and long-term plans as needed based on changing business/market conditions, staffing, etc.
022 Coordinate action plans to penetrate new markets and existing territories
022 Control discounting to maintain profitability.
022 Develop, maintain, and control sales budget with a focus on profitability.

Be accessible and provide leadership and guidance to sales agency (i.e. broker) representatives in the development/growth of their business.
022 Conduct reviews with brokers to gain an understanding of what training and development needs may exist and to provide feedback and coaching as to how to improve their sales activity and performance.
022 Continually focus on ways to support their objectives throughout the region and ensure reps are on track with their activities, proposals, etc. and goals are clearly understood.
022 Conduct regular contact days with brokers to ensure that they meet or exceed all activity standards. Aid in the preparation of proposals and presentations or where needed.
022 Conduct regular sales meetings that focus on sales objectives and pertinent business information, goals, and strategies.
022 Ensure that all new sales representatives are trained and are applying what they have learned.
022 Understand obstacles facing brokers and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up to ensure that all issues are handled quickly and effectively.
022 Through continual learning, stay abreast of industry changes and product knowledge.
022 Have awareness of competition and trends that could impact the business and make planning adjustments as necessary.
022 Maintain organization of assigned region including home office, equipment, sales aids, sales and customer information.
022 Conduct activities in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.

Active communication with Sales Director.
022 Stay in contact and report any information that is of value to the Sales Director (i.e., competitive pricing, products, trends, new concepts, referrals).
022 Supports the Sales Director to ensure pull through of The Father9s Table foodservice division9s sales strategy and plans.
022 Works with Sales Director to assess sales performance and market trends for dessert market and to determine appropriate adjustments to meet or exceed objectives.
022 Provide timely feedback to management regarding the sales activity/performance on sales forecasts and budgets.
022 Review end-of-the-month reports that clearly communicate results.
022 Participate in any planning, update/status meetings at the request of the Sales Director.

Education & Experience
022 Bachelor9s degree from four-year college or university preferred
022 5-7 years9 experience in consultive, solution selling approach in the Foodservice market
022 Holds strong relationships with Foodservice Distribution and Regional Multi-Unit Account personnel in the West Market
022 Ability to lead, manage and develop local sales agency representatives through training and work withs.
022 Financial management (including analyzing market data and developing sales plans), and organizational skills required.
022 Knowledge of foodservice, and K12 Foodservice a plus.
022 Experience with word processing or spreadsheet software, Internet software, and contact management systems.
