Full Job Description

JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Wealth Advisors are responsible for developing comprehensive, integrated, multigenerational wealth strategies for high net worth clients to include the placement of wealth management products in order to satisfy identified needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively engage in the prospecting, selling, production, and delivery of financial planning services to new and existing Private Wealth Management clients
  • Identifies and pursues the acquisition of qualified Private Wealth Management clients, both new and existing bank clients   
  • Recognize financial planning, estate planning, tax planning, and product implementation opportunities and communicate them to the client and appropriate Relationship Team members
  • Collect data necessary to have financial or estate plan prepared
  • Present and execute financial, estate, or tax plans
  • Analyze client financial information and deliver financial advice and appropriate financial products based on client needs
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with members of a Relationship Team designated to support client service and client development
  • Teams with partners throughout the bank to generate and make referrals to align clients with the appropriate channel
  • Provides ongoing relationship servicing with current clients to maintain goodwill and gain additional business
  • Monitor, maintain, and update call planner, pipeline, and closed business report using sales management tool
  • Represent the bank in civic, community, and industry functions to network and develop additional business
  • Obtain and maintain an understanding of the wide range of wealth products offered by the company, wealth issues and product solutions relevant to Private Wealth Management clients as well as investments and risk at a level to discuss needs and propose solutions.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Business preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 8 years of experience in financial services or planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of estate, investment and financial planning issues for affluent and high net worth clients
  • CFP, JD, MBA or CPA preferred
  • Highly motivated; Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent sales and interpersonal skills require
  • Series 7, Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65), and Life/Health Licenses for the states where business is conducted are all preferred and will allow for additional incentive potential.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an 5undue hardship5 then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
