Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

Gemini Water is looking for a dynamic water/wastewater Project Manager who is accountable for delivering complex water and wastewater treatment projects from concept through design, integration, commissioning, and in-service support, under the direction of the Director, Project Delivery.

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, technical specialists, contractors, and clients, to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in water and wastewater systems and project execution, combined with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

The role also mentors junior staff, supports continuous improvement, and maintains client relationships across the project lifecycle.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of water and wastewater treatment projects from planning through commissioning and final turnover.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and deliverables to support successful project execution.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, specialists, contractors, consultants, and vendors, to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Monitor and control project progress and manage project and business risks, both qualitatively and quantitatively, escalating delays, resource constraints, and issues as required.
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project schedules, cost estimates, reporting processes, and document control systems.
  • Serve as a key client contact, communicating project status, milestones, risks, and deliverables, and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and progress reviews to ensure construction and installation activities align with design intent and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers, project coordinators, and technical staff as required.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and decision-making in project meetings and technical discussions.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, safety protocols, and client expectations.


Key Qualifications, Education, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive project management experience in water/wastewater treatment, industrial automation, or infrastructure projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex engineering and construction projects, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), scheduling, cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, reporting, and document control.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, Bluebeam Revu, and other relevant engineering tools preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working directly with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Valid driver's license or access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for international project travel.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required (approximately 10%-15% of the time).
