Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager to join our growing team in Bridgeport, West Virginia. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to combine technical expertise, project leadership, and client relationship management while supporting critical water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects throughout West Virginia.

 

Our Bridgeport office is one of the region's largest multidisciplinary engineering offices, bringing together more than 130 engineers, scientists, surveyors, and technical professionals. In this role, you'll collaborate with experts across civil engineering, environmental services, water resources, surveying, geotechnical engineering, and construction services while supporting municipal, utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the state.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and permit documentation
  • Lead the technical design of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pumping infrastructure, storage facilities, and treatment improvements
  • Perform and oversee hydraulic modeling, system evaluations, design calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and engineering analysis
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
  • Conduct and oversee QA/QC reviews to ensure technical accuracy, constructability, and regulatory compliance
  • Mentor junior engineers and support staff development across project teams
  • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals, participating in consultant selection interviews, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Work with Regional Development Councils to assist with securing funding for public infrastructure projects
