How You Will Contribute

Purpose-Driven Design: Prepare engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, pipelines, and pump stations with minimal supervision, translating complex challenges into effective solutions.

Quality & Compliance: Review engineering designs and technical reports to ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations while upholding CDM Smith's high standards for safety and quality.

Client & Project Collaboration: Support proposal development, engage with clients to understand project needs, and contribute technical insights through presentations, white papers, and industry publications.

Mentorship & Leadership: Support the development of junior staff through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.

Industry Engagement: Represent CDM Smith at conferences and professional events, staying current on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

-Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable (within 18 months of hire or promotion or transfer).

-5 years of related experience.

-Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated experience delivering engineering designs for municipal water and wastewater pipelines and treatment facilities.
