Water/Wastewater Construction ManagerCHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a
Water/Wastewater Construction Manager to join our
Water Team in
Blacksburg, VA or Richmond, VA. In this role, you'll serve as a key on-site leader-observing daily construction activities, collaborating with contractors and clients, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What You'll Do:- Provide day-to-day on-site construction management to ensure water and wastewater projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract requirements
- Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors, clients, and project teams-facilitating clear communication, resolving field issues, and maintaining strong working relationships
- Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with plans, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Review, track, and document construction activities including work orders, pay applications, inspection reports, and daily reports with accuracy and attention to detail
- Review change order requests, develop estimates, negotiate costs, and support stakeholders and regulatory engagement
What You Bring:- Associate's Degree in Engineering Science, Construction Services, or a related technical field required or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role required
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulatory requirements with knowledge of construction safety and quality standards
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency with construction management software and tools preferred
- PACP (pipe), MACP (manhole), and/or LACP (lateral) certifications preferred

Salary Range:$90,000 - $110,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
