Job Title: Water Resources - Senior Project Manager
Location: Chantilly, VA
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and grow a Water Resources practice, overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects across public and private sectors. This role combines technical expertise, team leadership, and client management to deliver high-quality water resources solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage water resources projects, including stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and dam-related work
- Perform QA/QC on design documents, models, reports, and permit applications
- Review hydrologic and hydraulic models (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS)
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple assignments
- Manage and mentor project teams, including engineers and junior staff
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to secure approvals
- Support contract management, including proposals, billing, and client communications
- Contribute to process improvements and overall practice growth
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in water resources engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (VA required; multi-state preferred)
- Strong experience in stormwater, floodplain, and/or dam design and permitting
- Proficiency with H&H modeling tools (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.)
- Proven experience managing projects, teams, and client relationships
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
