GFT is currently seeking aWater Resources Project Engineerto join our Eastern PA Highway Team. This hybrid position will be based out of either Audubon, Philadelphia or Allentown, PA Offices. This is an exciting time to join our growing GFT team!

What you9ll be challenged to do:

The successful candidate will be focused on project delivery and be proficient with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation design, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission policies, and PADEP standards and specifications. The candidate will serve as a Water Resource Engineer/Discipline Lead to deliver stormwater management design, erosion and sediment pollution control plans, NPDES permits and highway drainage designs for highway projects in Pennsylvania. The candidate will work with team members to deliver quality projects, on time and build client relationships through project delivery.

This position requires effective time management, technical and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence and solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills. A general understanding of how to manage/monitor scopes, schedules and budgets on projects is desirable.

The work you9ll do:

  • Perform detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, and plans for highway projects from preliminary to final design.
  • Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project managers especially in PennDOT, local governments, and private clients
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers in developing plans, including but not limited to implementation and knowledge of drainage, post construction stormwater management, and E26S plans
  • Collaborate with Eastern Pennsylvania highway staff to prepare E26S and PCSM designs as well as prepare Chapter 102 (NPDES) permits.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic design required.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team to complete tasks within scope, schedule and budget.
  • The desire to grow your knowledge, expertise, leadership skills, and relationships is desirable.
