Role description:Arcadis is currently seeking an Entry-Level Water Engineer to join our Los Angeles, CA office. Arcadis provides multiple onboarding and development programs created for our young professionals that support professional growth and help drive creativeness, innovation, and greater integration within our local, national and global teams.
Role accountabilities:As a Water Engineer, you will support the planning, design, and execution of a wide range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, contributing to both technical delivery and client-focused solutions. This role involves working on sustainability and resilience initiatives, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Perform planning studies, design, and field investigations for water and wastewater systems, including collection, transmission, distribution, pumping, and treatment facilities
- Support sustainability and resilience projects, which may include vulnerability assessments, mitigation assessments, as well as planning and design initiatives for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
- Prepare comprehensive written technical reports, Preliminary Design Reports, evaluation memorandums, spreadsheets, and permitting applications
- Develop written communications and engaging presentations for both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Assist utilities, municipalities, and cities with planning and design solutions to meet infrastructure needs
- Contribute to project coordination and technical analysis to support successful project execution
This role requires a reliable, client-focused professional who can work effectively both independently under the guidance of project managers and collaboratively within a team environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates flexibility in taking on a variety of assignments, along with the initiative to embrace new projects and challenges as they arise. A solid understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems is essential for success in this position.
Required Qualifications - BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity/experience with ArcGIS and/or hydraulic modeling software is ideal but not required.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65,578- $98,366. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
