Water and Wastewater Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager for Water and Wastewater Services for our Indiana market sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in water and wastewater treatment processes, with proven experience in the design of treatment, pumping, and storage systems. This role involves business development, client engagement, designing municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality protocols.
This position offers a clear growth path with the opportunity to advance into a Regional Manager role as our Indiana Water and Wastewater practice continues to expand.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
• Lead marketing and project execution efforts for Water and Wastewater projects in Indiana.
• Initiate meetings with potential clients and support proposal efforts.
• Manage and execute projects in Indiana and other market locations.
• Prepare and oversee preparation of technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates. Work with multi-discipline staff in other Fishbeck offices and departments to complete design projects.
• Support the growth and expansion of Water and Wastewater services in Indiana.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary departments throughout the firm for successful project execution.
• Promote cross-marketing of services offered by other departments in the firm.
• Oversee QA/QC procedures.
• Mentor and support junior staff as needed.
• Demonstrate leadership capabilities and a desire to grow into a future Regional Manager role.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 10+ years of experience or demonstrated ability in water/wastewater treatment design, project management, and business development.
• Experience leading marketing efforts and proposal writing.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC protocols, and state/local codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of process, electrical, and controls systems for water and wastewater systems.
• Knowledge of construction management and field inspection practices.
• Leadership experience and interest in growing a team and practice area.
DESIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
