  • Ensure warranty concerns are translated into robust corrective and preventive actions across product, process, supplier, and system controls by opening 8Ds and following through to closure.
  • Drive lessons learned into product design reviews, launch readiness activities, and future programs.
  • Escalate systemic risks that may affect safety, customer satisfaction, warranty financial exposure, or long-term product performance.
  • NAFI Fire and Explosion Investigator Certification to be obtained and maintained.

Warranty Analytics, Governance & Financial Stewardship
  • Develop and maintain warranty KPI reporting, analytics, and dashboards including trend analysis, and performance summaries for plant, regional, and global leadership.
  • Monitor warranty claim volume, warranty cost, warranty cost as a percentage of sales, open warranty 8Ds, closure timing, repeat failures, and top failure modes. Escalate negative trends early and drive problem solving activities to support rapid resolution.
  • Predict future warranty spend based on available data from customers, acceptance factors, and trends in performance.
  • Partner with Finance to support warranty reserve forecasts, aging reports, exposure assessments, warranty credits, recoveries, and cost-reduction opportunities.
