Summary

The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe flow of materials and equipment into and out of the Fairfield facility. This role is accountable for meeting customer delivery commitments, supporting on-site demonstrations and training activities, and maintaining accurate inventory control. Success in this position directly impacts customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, safety performance, and cost control across warehouse and logistics operations.

Salary: $98,000-$123,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Control the receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of all materials and equipment to meet customer schedules and internal operational needs.
  • Fulfill customer orders accurately using pick lists and manufacturing instructions, ensuring correct product selection and consolidation.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including palletizing, packaging, wrapping, and preparation of all required dispatch and export documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through IFS, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and regular stock counts, including quarterly and annual audits.
  • Manage the organization and movement of heavy equipment, generators, forklifts, and materials between on-site and off-site storage locations.
  • Ensure all warehouse transactions are properly booked in and out of the system and aligned with sales administration processes.
  • Oversee warehouse safety by enforcing safe material handling practices, maintaining lifting equipment registers, and ensuring certifications remain current.
  • Troubleshoot international freight and import/export issues and make goods and documentation available for inspection when required.
  • Supervise, train, and coach contracted warehouse support staff, allocating resources effectively to meet changing operational demands.
  • Contribute to overall business operations through administrative support, record keeping, and responsiveness to tight deadlines, shipping delays, and accelerated project schedules.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and dispatch activities.
  • Proven knowledge of materials handling, including physical lifting and the safe use of lifting and handling equipment.
  • Experience with computer-based stock control and dispatch systems; strong IT and data accuracy skills.
  • Understanding of international freight, transport regulations, and export documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce health and safety procedures across warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Experience supervising and training staff, including task allocation, coaching, and performance oversight.
