DescriptionThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day distribution and warehouse operations while providing leadership and direction to warehouse supervisors. This role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency, improving order accuracy, managing labor resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Functions of the Position:- Manage warehouse operations with a focus on improving efficiency, enhancing order-picking accuracy, and increasing overall productivity and performance.
- Develop, implement, and monitor warehouse performance reports and operational metrics to track efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee warehousing operations and support labor planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts.
- Direct and manage warehouse supervisors, including recruiting, training, coaching, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to optimize warehouse processes and operational effectiveness.
- Assist in managing the scheduled maintenance and operational readiness of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 5-10 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Minimum of five years of experience managing warehouse operations and personnel.
- 2-3 years of forklift operation experience and/or demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift practices.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes, warehousing best practices, and logistics operations preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:- Forklift certification preferred or the ability to obtain certification as required.
Skills and Competencies:- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and conveyor picking systems required.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods of time.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and operational excellence.
The starting salary range for this position is $99,527-$136,850. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives subject to the terms of the underlying plan.
