PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The VP Social WorkandBehavioralHealthServices leads theorganization and teams in shaping and executing the SW departmentalvision,strategy,goals,and prioritiesfor Fresenius Kidney Care. The positionis responsible fordesigning strategies thatsupport theorganization27s broader objectives/business goals. This leader will be a key connector fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams to create a unified/standardizedapproach tosupport patient advocacy, drive program growth and serve asthe organization27sprimary liaisonfor the behavioralhealthand clinicalsocial workcare of patients. This position willrepresentNursingand Clinical Services on global initiatives and projects thatimpactthebehavioralhealthand/orpsychosocialneeds ofour patient population.

This role involves collaborating closely with senior executives to develop and refine strategies that address thebehavioral/mentalhealthof our patients. A deep understanding ofclinical, scientific,serviceandtechnology landscapes is essentialtodriveinnovation andstrengthenthe company27s competitive edgetoimprove the care available to patients. A strong emphasis onvalue-basedcare models andalignment withESRD quality metrics iscritical.

With a focus on quality, clinical excellence and strategic foresight, this roleiskeyinidentifyingnew strategies and services that address and improve patient quality of life,transplantreferrals,and treatment adherence. Thisrolewillbe enterprisedesignationas the subject matterexpertfor complex psychosocial and behavioralhealthissues.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy, Innovation, and Quality of Care

  • Responsible for the strategicdepartmental plan that supportsthe businessgoalsandobjectivesincludingimproving behavioral health and clinical social work practices, transplantreferrals,and improvement in treatment adherence.
  • Develop innovative strategies/techniquesleading to differentiated servicesthat improvepatient quality of life.
  • Integratebehavioral health intoESRD caredelivery models, including developmentofa behavioral health quality frameworkthat includes safety,effectiveness,efficiency,equity,timeliness,andpatientcentered care.
  • Createsystem wide quality improvementmethodology,includingtrainingand prioritization processes.
  • Establishgovernance structures such as advisory boards/committees to drive execution and engagement.
  • Create a comprehensive workforce strategy including organizational design,succession planning, andretention.
  • Efficiently evaluate potential partnership opportunities toidentifyhigh impactgrowth initiatives and potential new market opportunities.
  • Develop enterprisewideKPIs,dashboards and data driven performancemonitoring frameworks. Monitor service delivery, evaluate programeffectivenessand pivot strategies based on data analytics and quality control metrics.
  • Evaluate performance metrics,drive professional developmentinitiatives,and foster a supportive environment for staff.
  • Represent the organization27s social work initiative on multidisciplinary committees.
  • Sets direction, concepts, technologyframeworksto develop significant advancesto processesand services delivered to patients.
  • Manages activities oftheSocialServices Departmentprogramsin accordancewithpolicies andacceptedsocial workpractice.
  • Leadsdeliveryof innovative solutions toprocessesand serviceswhich may require interpretation outside of established protocols.
  • Problems and challengesfacedareextraordinarily complex, requiring broad-based solutions to innovate in the directionof operational,financial,or human dimensionsof the business.

Leadership

  • Oversee social work departmental staff, providing support,guidance,and encouragement to promote professional growth amongstteam as well as facilitysocial workers within organization.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to the highest ethical and clinical standards set by licensing boards and professional organizations.
  • Evaluate performance metrics, drive professional development initiatives, and foster a supportive environment for staff.
  • Ensure department staff adhere toCMS Conditions forCoverage,all policies, including adherence to federal and state requirements,compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Ensures that budgets and schedules are within company requirements with significant organizational responsibility for theoverall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, expense priority management, and the recommendation and implementation ofcurrent practices.
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of the Social Work Servicesorganization.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
