Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office based in New York City.

Reporting to the Director of Portfolio & Relationship Manager, the Vice President is the primary contact and is responsible for the overall relationship with Commercial Services clients. The incumbent interfaces directly with clients and as such is responsible for balancing the needs and expectations of the clients with policies, procedures and risk tolerances of Commercial Services.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for managing, maintaining, & controlling a portfolio of larger, more complex client and their customer relationships - both borrowing and non-borrowing clients.
  • Work in tandem with customer credit team to establish credit lines.
  • Analyze & monitor Clients' financial & collateral performance by implementing & maintaining a system of controls and checks & balances.
  • Maintain knowledge of clients' financial condition, collateral evaluation, and industry trends.
  • Ensure client is compliant with Bank's Policies and Procedures including Client Credit Authorities, Borrowing Base Credit Standards, and Industry White Papers
  • Familiarity with and ability to apply and understand Bank's Compliance procedures to meet government and company regulations and risk profiles.
  • Coordinate with area operations & audit staff to ensure that clients' information is accurate, current, is complete and presented on a timely basis.
  • Cultivate/manage relationships with the borrowers and referral sources.
  • Review/analyze interim financial statements, fiscal year-end audit reports and client projections on a timely basis.
  • Visit and communicate with clients as necessary.
  • Responsible for generating new business along with referral source generation.
  • Foster an environment of cross sell including treasury management services, equipment finance, FX and other FCB services that may benefit the client.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services

Preferred:

  • Experience in any of the following: factoring, auditing, banking, commercial lending, underwriting, financial analysis, credit analysis, collateral management
  • Master's degree preferred but not required
  • 6 years of progressive portfolio management/underwriting experience with relevant focus in the leverage lending sector, with a focus on Retail, Apparel, Consumer Products preferred
  • Completion of bank/finance company credit training program preferred, but not required


The base pay for this position is generally between $160,000 and $200,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
