Job Purpose

We're looking for a Vice President of Recruiting to build the next phase of our recruiting organization. We hire a mix of technical and manufacturing roles, from software and controls engineers to machinists, operators, and manufacturing leaders. As we continue to scale, recruiting becomes one of the biggest factors in how fast we can execute. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll partner closely with our executive team to understand where the business is going, translate it into hiring plans, and build a recruiting organization to support it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop recruiting strategies that work for both high-volume manufacturing hiring and specialized technical hiring to support our company growth as we expand into new products and industries.
  • Partner with leadership to understand where the business is headed and translate that into hiring plans.
  • Build and lead a recruiting organization that can scale with the business, develop the team, and create systems that allow us to hire quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing and operations leaders to support production ramps, new programs, and staffing needs across multiple sites.
  • Build a best-in-class sourcing function that identifies where the right talent is and develops ways to reach them; reduce reliance on external staffing agencies by building strong internal pipelines and sourcing capability.
  • Raise the quality and consistency of hiring by building structured interview processes, improving interviewer capability, and helping leaders make better hiring decisions.
  • Build long-term talent pipelines through internships, apprenticeships, workforce development programs, and partnerships with schools, training programs and local organizations.
  • Become an expert in our business, products, technology, and growth strategy so you can confidently tell our story, attract exceptional candidates, and advise leaders on talent strategy.
  • Build the recruiting infrastructure, including systems, reporting, and recruiting operations, that gives leaders clear visibility into hiring progress, hiring risks, and opportunities to improve.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to build and scale recruiting organizations in high-growth environments; experience scaling from roughly 300 to 1,000+ employees strongly preferred.
  • Background in industrial technology, manufacturing, hardware, aerospace and defense, medical, or similar environments.
  • Background leading recruiting across both high-volume hourly manufacturing or operations hiring and technical hiring.
  • Strong executive presence and experience partnering directly with C-level leadership.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate a company's story to candidates and stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with modern recruiting tools, sourcing strategies, and AI-enabled recruiting workflows.
  • Experience hiring across multi-site or distributed operational environments, including manufacturing plants, production facilities, or similar settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Executive recruiting experience in senior leadership roles.
  • Success designing early career pipelines, internships, apprenticeships, or workforce development programs.
  • Experience managing agency and retained search strategy at scale and using external partners strategically.

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match.

The annual base salary range for this position is $223,000 to $307,000.
