Full Job Description

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Technology Finance Business Manager in Finance to be part of a global team responsible for financial and business management oversight of the Wealth Management Technology (WMT) division and to understand technology allocations to the Wealth Management business unit. The successful candidate will help develop and manage a financial analytical function that supports internal technology clients and their book of work, as well as key Wealth Management stakeholders.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the our Business Management Job Family which performs business management/CAO functions including headcount management, financials, people processes, executive communications, strategic support, divisional governance, regulatory support etc. Includes regional, location and department management and oversight.


What you'll do in the role:

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm

  • Lead end-to-end financial management processes supporting Wealth Management Technology, requiring complex decision making, advanced stakeholder management and subject matter expertise

  • Develop and maintain technology budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics for the Division

  • Be responsible for financial oversight of financial performance, allocations, vendor demand, invoicing and accruals, application Total Cost of Ownership and lifecycle management, and expense optimization

  • Drive budgeting/forecasting processes that follow Finance guidelines and align with business priorities

  • Generate reporting and analysis for monthly and quarterly packs distributed across the Division

  • Assist in quarterly expense estimates across labor and non-labor accounts

  • Be a thought partner in Financial Management metrics development, reporting, analysis and monitoring in support of funding prioritization discussions and process

  • Manage project portfolio financial management and Business expense allocation analytics and governance, including maintaining cost center planning rates, monitoring project and system allocations, and understanding the provider to receiver impact of the project portfolio

  • Manage initiatives to improve Business Management process improvements to drive efficiencies

  • Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls, and contribute to risk management and contingency planning for the business area

  • Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Advanced understanding of Finance functional areas, industry practices and technical skills, including financial management, budgeting, forecasting and expense governance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with financial budgeting, forecasting and technology finance management

  • Thorough understanding of Financial principles such as Software Capitalization and accrual basis accounting

  • Ability to manage financial risk and assess the impact of financial decisions across technology and business stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to create concise and cogent management reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders

  • Advanced skills in Excel and Powerpoint including Pivot Tables, lookups, formulas, and data manipulation and data presentation

  • Ability to be flexible and highly adaptable in a constantly changing environment with ever-changing prioritization

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills

  • Thorough attention to detail and precision

  • Creative thinker who takes complete ownership and accountability

  • Experience in a Finance expense management team, preferably within the Financial Services sector

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and/or Finance

  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance and/or Technology Business Management, preferably in the Financial Services sector
