About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and execution-focused Vice President of Operations to lead the operational direction of our growing franchise network.

Reporting to the Brand President, the VP of Operations will be responsible for building scalable systems, improving franchisee performance, strengthening field execution, and ensuring that the company's operations can support continued growth. This role sits at the leadership table and is expected to bring both strategic thinking and practical execution.

The ideal candidate has led operations in a franchise, multi-location, construction, home services, or field-based business. They know how to build systems, lead teams, drive accountability, and turn operational complexity into clear, repeatable processes.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy
  • Develop and lead the operational strategy for Ideal Siding's franchise network.
  • Partner with the leadership team to align operations with company growth goals.
  • Identify the systems, team structure, processes, and performance standards needed to scale the business.
  • Translate business priorities into clear operational plans with measurable outcomes.

Franchise Performance and Growth
  • Lead initiatives that improve franchisee performance, profitability, compliance, and customer experience.
  • Ensure franchisees have the systems, training, tools, and support needed to execute consistently.
  • Identify performance gaps across the network and implement strategies to close them.
  • Build a stronger operating model that supports both new franchisee onboarding and existing location growth.

Systems and Process Optimization
  • Assess current operational workflows and implement scalable improvements.
  • Create and refine SOPs, reporting structures, accountability rhythms, and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure operational systems are practical, measurable, and adopted consistently across the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Training, and Technology to improve execution across the full business.

Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Operations team, including field operations, franchise support, and related functions.
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and performance standards for the team.
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor leaders and team members so the department can scale with the company.

Financial and Operational Accountability
  • Support operational budgeting, resource planning, and cost-effective decision-making.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and use data to make informed recommendations.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies that could impact growth, profitability, or franchisee success.
  • Ensure leadership has clear visibility into operational performance and key priorities.

Executive Leadership
  • Serve as a senior leader within the business and contribute to company-wide planning.
  • Bring a strong point of view on how to improve execution, structure, and scalability.
  • Lead change management efforts when new processes, systems, or standards are introduced.
  • Represent the Operations function with professionalism, clarity, and confidence.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing teams, systems, performance, and cross-functional execution.
  • Experience in franchising, multi-unit operations, construction, home services, trades, or field-based businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build scalable operating systems and improve business performance.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, and change management skills.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, KPIs, dashboards, team structures, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable working directly with CEOs, owners, franchisees, and leadership teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field preferred. MBA or advanced business training is an asset, but not required.
