Full Job Description
We are currently considering candidates available to travel/work across the Long Island territory. This position will require travel amongst designated offices in respective state/territory with occasional travel to our NY headquarters for specified Operations meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

The VP of Operations is an executive position responsible for overseeing the operations of an organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational expertise. This position works closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans to ensure efficient and effective operations across multiple dental practices within the DSO. This role will involve establishing and maintaining operational standards, optimizing workflow processes, and driving operational excellence. You will also be responsible for promoting a culture of high-quality patient care, team collaboration, and continuous improvement. The specific requirements and responsibilities may vary depending on needs and organizational scaling.

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and implement the operational strategy aligned with the Company's overall goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company's long-term vision.
    • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancements.


  • Operational Management:
    • Provide leadership and direction to all operational departments, such as manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, facilities, and quality assurance.
    • Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations, optimizing resource allocation and utilization.
    • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and improve productivity.
    • Monitor and evaluate operational performance using data and metrics, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement.


  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to department heads and managers.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the operations function.
    • Recruit and retain top talent, identifying skill gaps and implementing training and development programs.
    • Establish succession plans to ensure a strong talent pipeline for key operational roles.

  • Compliance Monitoring:
    • Identify operational risks and develop strategies with senior operations to mitigate them.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to provide a safe working environment.
    • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

  • Financial Management:
    • Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Work with practice managers and revenue cycle team to optimize and maximize revenue generation.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (a master's degree is preferred)
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in multi-site dental practice management or operations, preferably within a DSO or mid-sized group.
  • Strong knowledge of dental practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational data.
  • Familiarity with dental industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
