Overview

The VP of North America Finance is a senior finance leadership role combining the operational discipline of a Financial Controller with the commercial and strategic influence of a VP of Finance. The role is responsible for leading the North America finance function across accounting, reporting, controls, forecasting, cash flow, and business partnering, while supporting executive leadership with clear financial insight and practical decision support.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the North America finance function, ensuring strong financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, compliance, and governance across the team.
  • Own the budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and financial planning processes, providing clear analysis of performance, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to executive, commercial, and operational leaders, supporting pricing, margin improvement, customer profitability, investment decisions, and key business initiatives.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, credit risk, collections performance, and balance sheet discipline, with a focus on improving visibility, accountability, and financial outcomes.
  • Oversee audit, tax, banking, insurance, and external advisor relationships as required, ensuring timely completion of statutory, regulatory, and corporate obligations.
  • Drive finance process improvement, reporting automation, ERP discipline, and scalable ways of working to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing finance team, setting clear expectations and fostering accountability, collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
  • Additional duties or responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, ACA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant experience in a senior finance leadership role overseeing regional or multi-entity finance operations.
  • Proven experience leading finance teams across accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, controls, audit, tax, cash management, and business partnering.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights, actions, and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting sales, pricing, gross margin, customer profitability, operational performance, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation , and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across executive, functional, and operational teams.
  • Highly collaborative, hands-on, and solutions-oriented approach with emphasis on accountability, continuous improvement, and sound judgment.
  • Must exhibit the highest professional standards, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical principles.
  • Some travel may be required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Infor preferred.

Salary Range: $148,506-$216,162
