Vice President of Engineering

Location: New York City Office

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Vice President of Engineering to lead our technology strategy and execution. This role is ideal for a senior engineering leader with a proven track record of building secure, scalable systems in high-growth or startup environments.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will define our long-term engineering vision, guide architectural decisions, mentor a growing team, and lead the responsible adoption of AI across the engineering organization. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver enterprise-grade, data-driven solutions for the evolving open finance landscape.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategy
  • Set and drive the long-term technical vision and engineering roadmap, including a practical AI strategy that supports the Company's business and product objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative engineering culture aligned with company values


  • Technical Oversight
  • Own end-to-end architecture and execution for all technical initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, including code quality, security, performance, and scalability
  • Lead the adoption of AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows to accelerate software development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and delivery while maintaining appropriate security, privacy, quality, and governance controls
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to executive and non-technical stakeholders


  • Operational Excellence
  • Oversee project timelines, delivery milestones, and engineering resource allocation
  • Implement and uphold rigorous QA, testing, deployment, and operational standards, using AI-enabled automation where it can improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery speed

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
  • Proven success scaling engineering teams and systems in startup or high-growth environments
  • Expertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data systems
  • Familiarity with modern SDLC practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code review, Agile methodologies, and AI-assisted software development
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and scale AI tools responsibly across engineering teams, with appropriate attention to security, data privacy, intellectual property, quality, and governance
  • Experience with compliance, data privacy, or fintech regulations is a strong plus
  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • This position is based in New York City office and requires in-office presence five days per week.
  • Collaborate in-person with teams at our New York City office to drive initiatives
