OverviewThe
Vice President, Marketing Technology is responsible for optimizing and advancing the enterprise marketing technology ecosystem to enable personalized, data-driven, and scalable marketing experiences. This role works closely with digital and technology teams to drive the adoption and effective utilization of existing technology capabilities while identifying business needs, capability gaps, and opportunities for future enhancements. The Vice President provides oversight and coordination of the tools, platforms, and processes that support consistent communication, performance measurement, and continuous improvement across marketing channels. Through strong cross-functional collaboration, this leader helps ensure marketing technology capabilities evolve to meet changing business needs and support long-term enterprise growth.
Responsibilities- Defines the business requirements and oversees the selection, integration, and optimization of marketing platforms including analytics, personalization, and campaign orchestration tools.
- Ensures marketing platforms are effectively connected, scalable, and secure by partnering with enterprise technology teams, enabling seamless data flow and consistent execution of personalized, data-driven marketing experiences.
- Leads the creation and evolution of frameworks, standards, and operating models that empower marketing teams to use technology effectively and consistently across the enterprise.
- Assesses current marketing technology capabilities and identify opportunities to modernize platforms, streamline workflows, and improve scalability to drive competitive advantage and future ready marketing operations.
- Oversees the architecture, implementation, optimization, and adoption of the marketing technology ecosystem, ensuring it supports personalization, automation, measurement, content delivery, and omnichannel engagement.
- Leads the adoption and scaling of personalization capabilities across marketing channels, ensuring teams effectively leverage data-driven insights and establishing measurement approaches to evaluate impact on engagement, conversion, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing technology, digital marketing, marketing operations, or related technology leadership roles, including experience leading enterprise-scale MarTech initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in marketing technology platforms, including analytics, customer data, personalization, campaign orchestration, automation, and content delivery solutions.
- Proven experience leading the selection, integration, optimization, and governance of complex marketing technology ecosystems across large organizations.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, systems integration, data privacy, security, and enterprise technology practices to ensure scalable and compliant marketing operations.
- Experience developing and implementing operating models, frameworks, standards, and best practices that drive effective technology adoption and consistent execution across marketing teams.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with marketing, digital, data, analytics, and technology teams to deliver business outcomes and support enterprise growth strategies.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to leverage data-driven insights, personalization, and performance measurement to improve engagement, conversion, and operational efficiency.
