The Vice President - AI and Data is a senior executive leader within Baxter27s Global IT organization, accountable for shaping and executing the enterprise AI and data strategy. Working with the Chief Information Officer, this role is the executive owner of the endtoend AI and data value chain, delivered in close partnership with Baxter27s business divisions and functional leadership.
This leader establishes Baxter27s enterprise data foundation as a trusted, governed, and scalable asset and translates it into AIenabled capabilities that accelerate revenue growth, operational excellence, clinical and product innovation, patient safety, and competitive differentiation across Baxter27s global businesses. The VP serves as a senior partner to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, Operating Committee, and Board of Directors on AI and data matters.
Ongoing engagement with the CIO, IT Senior Leadership Team, AI Governance, and enterprise executives
Define, own, and implement Baxter27s enterprise AI and data strategy aligned with business and IT priorities
Lead enterprise capabilities across data engineering and platforms, data integration, master data management, analytics, business intelligence, and AI delivery
Translate strategy into a multiyear roadmap with clear business outcomes, investment priorities, and value realization
Drive AI and data science delivery across ML, advanced analytics, and Generative AI using modern MLOps and agile practices
Represent IT 2D AI and Data on AI Governance Council
Ensure data is trusted, governed, reusable, and AIready, while championing ethical, responsible, and regulatorycompliant AI
Partner closely with senior leaders across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, HR, Legal, and IT
Build, develop, and lead a highperforming, globally distributed organization
Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership and represent Baxter with external partners, technology providers, and the broader AI ecosystem
Bachelor27s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) strongly preferred
152D20 years of progressive experience across IT, data, analytics, and AI, including 10+ years in senior leadership roles leading global teams
Proven effectivenessoperatingin highly regulated environments (medtech, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences preferred)

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $304,000-$380,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission, and/or long-term incentive.
