Position Summary

Our Vice President, Human Resources is the top HR leader for the DFS family of products. Reporting to the DFS's President and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will have the opportunity to create something uniquely tailored to the needs of the business, partner with stakeholders to provide guidance and recommendations to deliver critical projects that enable growth. This role leads all aspects of DFS's human resources activities, including strategic direction, talent acquisition; talent management and development; organizational design; succession planning; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; succession planning, employee relations and total rewards. As a functional leader, the Vice President of Human Resources will also develop and inspire a global team of approximately 40+ HR professionals.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to the organization's human resources team while fostering a culture of high-performance, accountability, professional development and high ethical standards;
  • Develop and drive the HR strategies, initiatives and services to support the business' strategic goal deployment and annual operations plan objectives in the various areas of talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, total rewards and organization development'
  • Lead the talent management and succession planning process across the Operating Company with a focus on developing employees and future leaders for the organization;
  • Proactively deliver organizational design, total reward and human capital strategies for purposes of workforce planning, deployment and retention designed to address current and future needs of the business;
  • Foster a culture of respecting and valuing people in a diverse and globally oriented environment. Lead and mentor high-performing teams, delegating tasks based on individual strengths to optimize results and boost morale. Provide clear instructions and guidance, motivating team members to achieve peak performance and meet project deadlines. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, managing resources efficiently and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Lead the organization capability planning and execution across DFS;
  • Ensure positive employee relations;
  • Provide leadership and strategic support related to all people strategies in a high growth environment by developing and implementing comprehensive strategies and business plans that align with overarching organizational goals. Should be able to spearhead strategic initiatives, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions to ensure objectives are met efficiently.
  • Cultivate a strong passion for and responsibility to the internal and external customer, ensuring their needs are prioritized in all operations. Should be able to ensure customer satisfaction by building strong relationships at all levels, actively listening to inquiries, and providing effective solutions. Champion the "customer-first" approach, embracing this strategy and encouraging team members to deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint.

Qualifications and Desired Characteristics
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, labor relations, organizational development or other similar discipline, MBA or other advanced degree preferred;
  • 15+ years of experience in Human Resources;
  • 7+ years in leadership position;
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including international;
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong strategic and business acumen;
  • Global mindset, prior experience working with global teams is a must;
  • Executive leadership presence;
  • Outstanding communication, coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner and foster (be a role model) ina collaborative work environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing across departments. Liaise with diverse stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and address project challenges collectively. Champion teamwork and mutual support, placing collective goals above personal satisfaction to ensure overall project success. Should be able to facilitate group discussions and brainstorming sessions to drive creative problem-solving and innovative solutions.
  • Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and take action on business priorities, especially when driving change;
  • Success developing and deploying HR processes and metrics, ideally through experience with a corporate business/operating system, to drive organizational performance;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to quickly assess situations and make judgments based on practice or previous experience;
  • Ability to work in changing environments, see through complexity and strategically promote an inclusive / diverse workforce;
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: - annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
