Responsible to translate Flex Business strategy and culture to develop and implement programs to effectively manage our Real Estate portfolio, large Capital Projects, Facility Operations and Employee Services Worldwide in order to provide a competitive, productive, collaborative, safe, sustainable and attractive Workplace.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Take a leadership role in promoting and developing comprehensive crisis and emergency response capabilities with global site leadership teams
• Build attractive, energetic and sustainable workplaces that enhance the employee experience and creates a competitive advantage for recruiting and retaining great talent
• Manage all of flex Real Estate Portfolio by partnerting with business units to create, refine and execute a real estate and facilities strategy to enhace the portfolio and maximize its value.
• Conduct portfolio reviews with senior leadership to refine strategic location investments & divestments
• Develop performance metrics and analytical tools that effectively measure state of the portfolio and maximize for utilization, vacancies, market dynamics and anticipated demand
• Oversee real estate negotiations, including new leases, renewals, terminations and purchase initiatives
• Serve as functional stakeholder for M&A due-diligence and integrations
• Develop, review and approve budgets in support of real estate transactions, capital investments (CAPEX) and facilities operations (OPEX) to ensure suitability and compliance with internal governance controls and financial targets.
• Develop the pipeline and oversee the execution of large Facility Capital Projects around the world to ensure we meet our business objectives, quality, on time delivery and cost goals.
• Ensure global offices, design, logistics and manufacturing sites are operating effectively and efficiently
• Drive Productivity improvements across the portfolio in Real Estate, Facilities, Projects and Workplace Services.
• Overseeing the functioning and maintenance of building systems including mechanical, electrical, and fire/life safety, BMS, lighting controls, etc.
• Managing relationships with external key suppliers for Construction, facility services, building materials and supplies.
• Develop and implement company Real Estate and Facilities Policies to drive flex operations in a more resilent, efficient and productive way.   
• Coach and mentor all of the Corporate Real Estate and Faciltiies Organization leadership​

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related discipline.  MBA is strongly preferred. 
• Typically requires 10+ years of facilities  experience. 
• Typically requires at least 7 years of management or supervisory experience.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to manufacturing and all other related plant functions.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the flexibility to operate well in a rapidly changing and often high-stress environment. 
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams including Operations, Business Development, Engineering, Program Management, Materials.
• Effective interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate and influence for positive outcomes.  
• Ability to identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks or elimination of non-value-added processes).
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in written, oral, diagram, schedule or mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Must understand P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Interact regularly with executives and/or major customers in controversial situations, contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required. 
• Work on abstract and complex problems across functional areas of the business.
