What You'll Own:End-to-End Engineering Leadership- Full RUCKUS portfolio: Wi-Fi access points, switching & routing, controllers, cloud control planes, analytics, AI, IoT, and identity
- Multi-generation roadmap execution (Wi-Fi 7 12 Wi-Fi 8, AIOps, NaaS)
- QA, Release Engineering, CI/CD, and CodeOps with disciplined release trains.
Cloud, Security & Operations- Cloud operations & SRE for RUCKUS One (uptime, incidents, resiliency)
- Security & compliance across engineering and products (SOC 2, FedRAMP/GovRAMP, NIST)
- DevOps, CloudOps, and infrastructure automation at scale
AI Transformation- Introduce AI across the entire SDLC, delivering measurable quality and velocity gains
- Establish AI governance, guardrails, auditability, and quality gates
- Ensure AI-native, agentic capabilities ship as core product features, not add-ons
Organization & Talent- Lead a 660+ person global engineering org across 7 sites
- Evolve org design for an AI-augmented future with clear ownership and fast feedback
- Build a culture of accountability, engineering excellence, and outcomes
Executive & External Leadership- Partner closely with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Security, Sales Engineering, and Support
- Serve as a credible technical voice with customers, partners, analysts, executives, and the board
- Support M&A diligence and technology integrations as needed
Required Qualifications:- 15+ years of engineering leadership; 5+ years leading Directors/Sr. Directors
- Experience running large, multi-site organizations with real revenue accountability
- 10+ years building enterprise or carrier-grade networking or cloud platforms
- Proven ownership of production cloud services, SRE, and customer SLAs
- Ownership of large-scale security and compliance programs
- Engineering budget ownership of $50M+ annually
- A clear, opinionated point of view on AI in the SDLC, backed by execution
- Strong product instincts and executive-level communication skills
- BS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent (advanced degree a plus)
#LI-RB1#LI-HYBRIDOur salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. This position's expected total compensation (base salary and commission range) is $202,000.00-$310,000.00
The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company's Incentive Plan. Candidates starting with the Company will be eligible for eleven paid holidays in a full calendar year, two weeks of paid vacation (prorated based on start date), as well as other leave options.
