Job DescriptionYou will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity's dynamic working arrangement.The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.What You Will DoReporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President, Development will work closely with senior leadership to drive innovation, strategic planning and an overall technology first approach.
- Acts as the IS owner for major/critical/strategic projects, oversees the development and success of Fidelity's critical projects.
- Provide follow-up on project advancement, communicate with all parties and ensure support of new products and services is seamlessly transitioned to the appropriate support team.
- Engage and build relationships with senior business leaders, external partners and with other Fidelity companies to reach a common goal for standards, processes, expertise, development and project delivery.
- Establish, manage and control budget, yearly objectives and long-term planning for the development of the team.
- Continually find new and innovative ways to use technology to drive enhancements, business improvements and/or IT cost efficiencies
What We're Looking For- Completion of University degree (in computer Science or related field) or equivalent experience
- 7+ years' experience in senior level management position(s)
- Experience overseeing complex IT systems and platforms, including experience in the administration of management information systems and enterprise technologies.
- Thorough knowledge of hardware, software and current and emerging information and technology services.
- Experience using AI within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) would be a distinct advantage.
- 7-10 years' experience within the financial services industry.
