JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is seeking a Vice President, Data Architecture & Platforms to lead the architectural direction of our enterprise data ecosystem. This role is responsible for designing and evolving the foundational platforms that power operational systems, machine-to-machine interactions, analytics, and executive decision-making across the organization.

As a senior leader within the technology organization, you will define scalable, interoperable, and activation-ready data architecture that enables real-time workflows, automation, and performance visibility. You will serve as a key execution partner to the SVP, Core Engineering and Chief Technology Officer, translating strategic priorities into pragmatic platform roadmaps and architectural standards.

This role requires a balance of long-term architectural thinking and hands-on execution leadership to ensure data is embedded directly into business processes and not just surfaced in dashboards.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture, including data lakes, operational data stores, and business intelligence applications to support an AI-driven approach to forecasting, analytics, advertising intelligence, and product features in an environment organized around live content streaming and decisioning
  • Establish architectural standards for interoperability, scalability, governance, and data product design
  • Architect real-time and near real-time data pipelines that power operational workflows and automated decisioning
  • Enable machine-to-machine interactions through event-driven systems and standardized service interfaces
  • Ensure consistent, trusted delivery of emerging modern human data interfaces that support executive reporting and data interrogation
  • Drive modernization efforts to reduce data silos and simplify cross-platform integrations
  • Partner closely with engineering, product, AI/ML, analytics, and operations teams to embed data directly into revenue, content, and audience systems
  • Translate CTO strategy into executable architectural roadmaps and platform investments
  • Lead and develop high-performing architecture and platform teams

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale data architecture initiatives in complex, multi-product organizations
  • Deep expertise in modern cloud-native data platforms, distributed systems, streaming technologies, and API-driven architectures
  • Strong understanding of operational data systems and how to embed data into real-time business processes
  • Experience enabling machine learning systems through scalable data pipelines and production-grade infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to define architectural standards and drive adoption across federated teams
  • Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting architectural strategy and tradeoffs to senior leadership
  • Experience building and mentoring high-performing engineering or architecture teams
  • Experience with data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and standards such as Iceberg and Parquet, how those technologies are hosted in AWS and other cloud platforms, and how to deliver that data in AI applications powered by Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
  • Experience in media, streaming, advertising technology, or digital content ecosystems
  • Background in designing data platforms that support monetization, personalization, or audience intelligence
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale executive reporting environments
  • Experience driving platform standardization across distributed business units
