Full Job Description
We are creating a new leadership role to guide our team into its next chapter.
This role is equal parts creative leader, technical translator, and change agent. While foundational knowledge of traditional production and studio workflows is required, the primary mandate is to accelerate digital-first, AI-enabled models that unlock new revenue streams, help the craft of the creative, improve speed to market, and expand creative possibility.
Success in this role requires the ability to influence creative direction through innovation-ensuring that technology and making are not a downstream service, but a core creative capability from concept through execution.
Responsibilities
1. Lead creative led Production Transformation.
- Identify and pilot AI tools across ideation, design, motion, editing, versioning, and localization
- Redesign workflows to increase efficiency, reduce friction, and future-proof delivery
2. Drive New Revenue Streams
- Partner with leadership to develop new production offerings enabled by AI, automation, and modular content
- Translate emerging technologies into client-ready capabilities and pricing models
- Support business development by clearly articulating modern production value.
3. Technical & AI Fluency
- Maintain hands-on understanding of AI and creative technology tools relevant to creativity (e.g. generative design, motion, copy, asset management, workflow automation)
- Act as a bridge between creative ambition and technical execution
- Establish best practices, governance, and ethical use of AI
4. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with strategy, creative, media, and account teams to integrate modern thinking early
- Work closely with our sister agency ThePub to ensure unified platforms and scaled learnings
- Educate internal teams and clients on what's possible, and what's next
- Help shape long-term vision and operating models
- Oversee multi-disciplinary team, empowering direct reports to manage day-to-day streams
Qualifications
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across digital, video, and studio, with a clear bias toward technology-enabled delivery models, and how they are embedded early in the creative ideation process.
Strong working fluency in AI and creative technology, including:
- Generative AI tools for design, motion, copy, and content versioning
- AI-assisted production workflows (automation, templating, modular systems)
- Emerging use cases across content management, personalization, and scale
Ability to speak both creative and technical languages-comfortable translating business and creative ambition into technical requirements, roadmaps, and resourcing plans
Demonstrated experience shaping or executing an AI roadmap, including:
- Evaluating tools and platforms
- Understanding build vs buy decisions
- Anticipating infrastructure, data, and staffing needs
Enough technical depth to:
- Partner effectively with creative, developers, engineers, and platform teams
- Assess feasibility, timelines, and risk
- Identify when specialized talent or external partners are required
- Experience working with digital platforms and internal tools (e.g., websites, CMS, DAMs, workflow systems), with an understanding of how AI can enhance, automate, or scale them
Comfort operating in creative environments where systems are iterative, evolving, and imperfect, with the judgment to prioritize what matters most
Strong change leadership skills, able to bring teams along through new tools, new ways of working, and new expectations without eroding morale or craft
Commercial and operational mindset, understanding how technical decisions impact speed, margin, scalability, and revenue growth
Why This Role Matters
This is not a maintenance role. It exists to redefine our team as a growth engine, not a cost center, balancing respect for craft with the urgency to evolve.
