PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing the Treasury functions of the New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp (NHMB) holding company and subsidiary banks, including investment and wholesale borrowing requirements of each bank. Provides detailed financial institution information and analyses to CFO necessary for maintaining sound investment, funding and hedging strategies. Actively manages the institution's liquidity portfolio, borrowings, investments, and have a working knowledge of the related accounting impacts. Facilitate various ALCO activities and processes including participation in strategy formulation and implementation. Work with the Corporate Controller to ensure strategies and related financial results are consistent with the goals of the banks individually and NHMB as a whole.

4. Assists in the preparation and detailed review of annual budgets and period forecasts from a Treasury perspective

5. Serves as a support to the CFO and Corporate Controller as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

2. Assists in providing management oversight for Finance personnel and all associated activities related to the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of the internal control structures for treasury and investment related processes.

3. Provides oversight and management for all holding company and subsidiary investment securities and other non-marketable investments, including all related monitoring, analysis, reporting and recordkeeping activities.

4. Manages relationships with liquidity providers as well as liquidity positions for NHMB and its subsidiaries including all related collateral management processes, analysis, and reporting.

5. Actively participates as a member of the ALCO committee for all banking subsidiaries providing detailed financial impact analysis and modeling for selected strategy choices. Recommends and assists in implementation of selected asset and liability strategies, and development of written policies for managing assets, liabilities and capital.

6. Participate with CFO in responsibility for managing regulatory relationships and ensures any implementation and follow-up activities in response to regulatory exam recommendations. Monitors new accounting and regulatory guidance related to accounting, finance and regulatory capital requirements applicable to treasury role and takes necessary actions to ensure compliance.

7. In conjunction with Corporate Controller, responsible for all NHMB and subsidiary activities related to the development, execution and associated reporting requirements for implementing hedging strategies, both for improved interest rate risk management and commercial loan strategy purposes.

8. Remains current on industry GAAP and Regulatory standards and requirements, and actively communicates changes and items of significance to the CFO and Corporate Controller and any affected department heads. Attends and/or completes relevant courses, seminars, or other educational opportunities to maintain job proficiency.

9. Actively participates on other assigned management committees.

10. Satisfactorily completes all required compliance training and complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position.

11. Performs additional duties as required.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards with moderate level of noise. Minimal physical effort required; normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis; handling of light materials and supplies; visual and manual dexterity to operate general office equipment.

10+ years' experience in a managerial role in accounting or finance, preferably in corporate treasury and investment areas of banking and/or equivalent combination of training and work experiences.

Ability to perform advanced financial analysis, comprehend financial statements and identify related trends; ability to anticipate and communicate impacts of financial and regulatory data to facilitate informed decision making; superior leadership, communication and organizational skills; working knowledge of GAAP and relevant Regulatory guidance; prior supervisory responsibility for highly trained, professional personnel.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Strong independent analysis and problem solving skills with critical thinking abilities; exceptional ability to adapt and respond to changing circumstances; strong communication and interpersonal skills, oral, written, listening and presentation; ability to collaborate across functional lines; self-directed with exceptional time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within established deadlines; self-directed with ability to work independently and as part of a leadership team; superior MS Excel and advanced financial reporting tool abilities, proficient with standard desktop computer applications.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

CPA or CFA professional certification preferred.
