Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nursing program

     

    One of the following:

    • MSN
    • MBA
    • MHA

     

    Minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including experience as a director or assistant CNO in complex hospital environment

     

    Highly effective communicator with proven medical staff relationship building skills

     

    Demonstrated record in using information systems and data to support accountability in clinical and administrative decision-making to include patient safety and quality data, Leapfrog initiatives, patient satisfaction, joint commission compliance, and workforce safety

     

    Demonstrated track record in using information systems and data to support accountability in clinical and administrative decision-making

     

    Strong problem solving and conceptual skills accompanied by the ability to analyze and successfully address complex situations and relationships and act in a decisive manner

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • One of the following:

    • Current Alabama RN license
    • Current Multi-state RN license with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

     

    *Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

     

    National Certification in area of clinical responsibility within two years of eligibility requirement

Desired Qualifications

Specific working knowledge of systems that address costs, revenue, quality and resource utilization management

 

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Certified Health Executive (CHE) and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)

 

Certified Nurse Executive (CNE)

 

Certified Nurse Administrator (CNA)

 

Certified Nurse Administrator Advanced (CNAA)

Responsibilities

Develops and implements standards of nursing practice and nursing care policies and procedures which ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and which support Infirmary Health System’s standards of for patient care and operational and clinical efficiency. Creates an atmosphere that enhances employee, patient and physician satisfaction while delivering cost effective, accessible and high quality health care services to the community.
