Overview

Department 475 is responsible for managing the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Network (NNPP Net) at Electric Boat. The EB LAN portion of the NNPP Net consists of Electric Boat users across the country including the east coast and pacific northwest. The network is expanding to support many changes including new construction, maintenance and modernization contracts, and to meet changing security requirements.

 

D475 is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join its team in supporting the growing department. The position will serve as one of the primary resources in managing and maintaining the department’s financial and business needs.  This position will also aid in monitoring the department material budget, which ranges from $5.5M to $8.1M annually.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Procurement of IT materials and services from requirements definition through delivery and deployment, including hardware and software licensing
  • Utilize business applications to carry out daily functions and conduct reporting (Oracle, Snow Technology, Jira Service Manager, Confluence, Smartsheet)
  • Act as a liaison for the department to outside vendors to obtain quotes, inquire about lead times, and track shipments
  • Track emergent internal and external work for the department including policies, procedures, IT requests, etc.

Strong Excel skills are required to maintain and report 5-year budget plans for multiple programs, manipulate raw data, and provide meaningful analysis (Vlookup, SumProduct, Pivot Tables, etc.).

 

Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.  The position provides challenging work and a means to continue gaining business skills and broadening experience.  The ability to manage multiple competing priorities is important.

 

Position is 100% on-site. No remote option.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 4+ years of related experience supporting operational, administrative, or financial programs
  • Documented experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred

  • Experience using Atlassian Confluence and Jira
  • Purchasing and vendor management experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
