Qualifications

• 2 years of nursing experience as an RN or LVN within the last 5 years (Option 1).
• 6 years of combined LVN and RN nursing experience or 6 years of either (Option 2).
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited school or CA teaching certificate, including coursework in teaching.
• At least 1 year of full-time teaching experience in an accredited nursing program within the last 5 years (Option 1).
• Compliance with community college or state university teaching requirements in CA (Option 2).
• Current California license as an LVN or RN.
• Current CPR Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and clinical instruction following the approved curriculum using effective teaching methods.
• Supervise students in clinical settings, assessing their practical application of knowledge and skills.
• Develop daily lesson plans and maintain accurate attendance and grading records.
• Participate in faculty meetings and pursue professional growth activities including in-service training.
• Engage in college activities such as open houses, orientations, and graduation ceremonies.
• Provide quality instruction to ensure student success in their academic goals and healthcare career readiness.
