ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:
- Maintains smooth operation of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure(VDI) environment, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including GPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
- Other duties may include virtualize, package, and deploy applications within the VDI environment utilizing approved virtualization technologies.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks including security patching, software updates, and performance monitoring.
- Research industry best practices and make recommendations to government leadership.
- Collaborate with Network Operations, Cyber Security, and Service Desk to ensure VDI Environment is operational and secure.
- Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government within the USFK Staff on emerging technology in the VDI Environment.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation related to the VDI environment, including operational guides, troubleshooting procedures, and training materials.
- Maintain and update the Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) for user profile management, creating tailored application settings and user profiles.
- Maintain and update Horizon True SSO for seamless integration with Active Directory.
QualificationsRequirements:
- 5 years of experience with BS/BA degree, or 3 years of experience with MS/MA degree. May consider an additional 4 years' experience in lieu of degree.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Invited Contractor status under the ROK/US Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) required
- IAT II Certification
- An Active Secret Clearance

- Proficiency or certifications in major VDI frameworks (e.g. VMware, Citrix or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
