This is a Hybrid opportunity based in Durham, NC. 2-3 times in office per week.

The role of Manager, Access Strategy and Marketing – Treatment is responsible for the development and execution of business strategies and marketing tactics geared towards population-based decision makers to grow and support access for the Treatment portfolio in the US. Thismanager is responsible for the design, development and delivery of all payer customer-facing promotional and non-promotional customer engagement tactics and will have the opportunity for input into strategy development.

Support the development of brand market access strategies, ensuring alignment with broader brand objectives, payer customer needs and insights, and evolving reimbursement dynamics.
Monitor the payer landscape, healthcare policy developments, and emerging market trends to identify opportunities and risks to the business.
Lead insight generation activities with external customers (i.e. market research) and internal stakeholders (i.e., payer field team members).
Lead payer initiatives to identify, quantify, and address coverage changes/barriers, translating findings into actionable recommendations that support business objectives.
Design, build, and evolve integrated payer value proposition that communicates the clinical, financial and organizational value population-based decision makers.
Manage the development, approval, deployment, and measurement of payer marketing assets, including field materials, digital tactics, publications, and implementation guides.
Partner with Medical colleagues to develop evidence-based messaging and value communications that align with payer decision-making criteria.
Support launch readiness and indication expansion planning, including market research, evidence planning, payer strategy development, and pre-approval information exchange activities.
Partner with brand teams and commercial stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the market access landscape and impact on the business
Support training and capability development for customer-facing teams, including payer account managers, sales teams, and other internal stakeholders.
Establish and track market access performance metrics and KPIs to assess strategic effectiveness and inform future investment decisions.
Manage external agency and vendor partners to deliver high-quality strategic and tactical market access programs.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or related discipline
3+ years of US-based pharmaceutical industry experience in managed markets, marketing and/or related commercial roles
Experience in creating product messaging and developing tactics
Knowledge and understanding of commercial and public payer customers (i.e. PBMs, MCO, employer, Medicaid, Medicare) and the complex dynamics affecting the payer including industry trends, payer and channel economics, and public policy/ government regulations
High level of motivation and a strong ability to find creative solutions to unstructured situations
Graduate Degree level (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience
Experience working on specialty products
Experience in developing payer and segment specific marketing insights and incorporating the payer into the brand/strategic planning process
Demonstrated ability to create effective messaging and appropriate promotional tactics
Experience in effectively navigating Copy Approval (legal, regulatory, medical review)
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a matrix team environment (i.e. brand marketing, sales, training, medical, health outcomes, etc.)
Experience in gaining alignment with and influencing without direct authority
Proven ability to navigate internal processes, manage multiple priorities, and keep projects on track to meet deadlines
Experience in or understanding of the HIV therapeutic area
Knowledge and practical application of compliance acumen in the pharmaceutical space
Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to process both quantitative and qualitative insights, draw conclusions, and translate to actions at pace
Experience working with and managing external agencies
