Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:
Promotes, builds and maintains relationships with client, customer staff, and end users. Analyzes client and customer business needs. Researches and proposes products, systems, and solutions as appropriate. Provides product development and implementation support. Provides strategic consulting to clients and contributes tactical input as appropriate. Participates as a stakeholder in financial and strategic evaluations of vendor partnership initiatives to achieve enterprise wide operational effectiveness and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Partner with different areas of the organization to research and synthesize market trends and insights, identifying new and innovative approaches to product offerings
  • Perform data analysis to drive key business insights, scalable growth strategies, valued-added sales strategy and detailed execution plans. Track, monitor and report on key performance indicators to convey value story for Client Tailored Solutions
  • Lead strategic discussions for planning and execution of client tailored solutions with sales team and appropriate stakeholders. Ensure goals & objectives are clearly outlined to meet the need of our customers as well as align with the overall direction and mission of CareFirst
  • Attend client meetings if and when appropriate as a Subject Matter Expert for point solution offerings and buy up opportunities
  • Manage risks & challenges with operational teams and business owners throughout implementation and post go live
  • Collaborate with vendors on short and long term vision and strategy of partnership and offerings. Represent the team at strategic business reviews and participate in score carding process of the Divisions partners.
  • Support partnerships with new vendors to further expand optimization capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years in business, marketing, healthcare management, management consulting or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • An advanced degree in a health care related field (MBA or MPH, with a concentration in health care or health economics) or equivalent work experience.
  • Client facing experience and advanced presentation skills
  • Training and experience in structured, end-to-end innovation processes including project delivery, value assessment and design thinking.
  • Strategic thinking with consultative problem-solving approach.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills with proven experience identifying and capturing value from strategic initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to team work.
  • Strong customer service focus and analytical way of thinking.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional data analysis skills with demonstrated experience translating data sets into charts, graphs and diagrams for executive audiences.
  • Ability to take apart processes, understand drivers, and work independently to develop recommendations.
  • Ability to collaborate, and influence across different functional areas within the organization.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLookUp, Macros, Visual Basic, etc.
  • Ability to communicate value proposition to potential partners, with experience likely gained from a consultative, solutions-based environment.
  • Past success in mentoring and building productive long-term customer relationships.
  • Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.

Salary Range: $79,200 - $157,300

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The associate is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position. Occasional walking or standing is required. The hands are regularly used to write, type, key and handle or feel small controls and objects. The associate must frequently talk and hear. Weights up to 25 pounds are occasionally lifted.
