Full Job Description
Position Overview

Zonal Executives are accountable for the produced business in his/her US territory (East, West, Central). This includes building the business portfolio, maintaining broker relationships, and conducting marketing in the region. The Zonal Executive manages the underwriting staff and assists them in decision making.

This position is a remote role with need for in-person attendance throughout the year (broker meetings and events, company meetings and events).

Candidate must be situated in Chicagoland or Dallas to be considered for the position.

This Position Is Responsible For
• Achieving the annual production, profitability and expense targets set by the Company and allocated to his/her region.
• Allocating regional production targets to Senior Underwriters and Underwriters
• Overseeing, guiding, instructing and assisting the underwriting staff in defining and reaching their respective targets by providing expert guidance, problem solving ability and leadership by example.
• Obtaining the highest level of quality in the business underwritten and managed.
• Managing the Underwriting team in order to achieve that a high level of service is provided to the Clients.
• Managing relations with specific higher-profile accounts and underwriting to the level of the maximum authority attributed
• Monitoring exposure accumulation for the portfolio underwritten by the department and liaising with the carriers as needed
• Providing timely and accurate feedback to the Leadership Team on all matters pertaining to the activity of the team, the state of the business and of the market so as to allow the evaluation of the team performance and the preparation of a successful business plan.
• Investigating new business opportunities aiming at maximizing profitability
• Identifying and proposing the implementation of new insurance products and services so as to achieve competitive advantage or increase efficiency in the internal processes.
• Making and keeping records of staff progress and assessing performance in a timely and efficient manner, monitoring and managing staff requirements in cooperation with senior management
• Effectively liaising with other Regional Team Leaders in order to ensure proper resource interaction in respect of the acquisition of prospective accounts and the satisfactory servicing of the existing ones.

Experience And Skill Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required
• Preferred majors: risk management and insurance, economics, business, finance, accounting, mathematics
• A minimum of ten years of Property and Casualty insurance experience
• Good general P&C underwriting skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, diplomatic and able to deal with people at all levels.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Should be clear, concise and able to discuss issues appropriately at all levels.
• Good management skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and have excellent planning and organizational attitudes.
• Good lateral thinker with a creative and inventive approach to problems and issues.
• Understanding of foreign language(s) is a plus

Position Salary and Benefits:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $205,000 depending on actual experience, skillset, and location. In addition to base salary, full-time N2G employees are also eligible for bonus potential.
