Full Job Description
The Vice President, Specialty Oncology is the end-to-end business owner for the NavDx franchise across Head & Neck, GI, and Gynecologic cancers, with full accountability for strategy, volume, revenue, pipeline and market shaping. This leader owns the commercial and medical education ecosystem for NavDx, driving adoption, clinical integration, guideline momentum, and long-term franchise value, while orchestrating upstream marketing (product lifecycle management, indication expansion), downstream marketing (brand strategy, targeting, messaging, selling directions), Medical Science Liaison (MSL) teams, Medical Education, KOL engagement and Sales (up to a certain team size).
Core Accountabilities:
Franchise Strategy & P&L Ownership
  • Own the integrated franchise strategy across HPV-driven cancers aligned to long-term growth
  • Accountable for volume, revenue, and market share performance
  • Translate clinical evidence and market insights into strategic priorities and investments
  • Shape lifecycle expansion, new indications, and guideline inclusion strategies
Market Shaping & Disease Leadership
  • Lead market shaping strategies to redefine standards of care in surveillance and MRD monitoring
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to drive guideline inclusion and publication strategy
  • Establish Navigate as the reference standard across academic and community settings
Upstream Marketing Leadership
  • Lead indication strategy, value proposition, and positioning by tumor type
  • Align evidence generation priorities with Medical Affairs and R&D
  • Ensure strategy is grounded in unmet clinical need and differentiated value
Downstream Marketing & Activation
  • Lead downstream marketing teams responsible for campaigns, congress strategy, and field enablement
  • Ensure translation of strategy into field-ready programs that accelerate adoption
Medical Affairs, MSL & Medical Education Leadership
  • Provide strategic leadership to MSL and Medical Education teams
  • Own the integrated medical plan including scientific exchange, advisory boards, and education
  • Ensure compliant, high-impact engagement with multidisciplinary care teams
Sales Team Leadership (In the nearterm)
  • Manage a 2nd line sales leader and the sales team
  • Translate franchise strategy into sales priorities and targeting
  • Partner with Sales Ops and Sales Excellence to ensure world-class sales execution and management cadence
  • Partner with Commercial Operations to deliver forecasting, demand planning, and performance insights
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as single point of accountability for franchise alignment across functions
  • Drive disciplined execution through data-driven decision making
  • Represent the franchise in executive and strategic planning forums

This is the anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Brisbane, California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
