Vice President Sales - Ludlow MA Position Summary:VP Sales Level I - Serve as the primary sales leader responsible for the successful management of the relationship between the suppliers and the company. Ensures the development and growth of a long-term partnership that profitably grows brand position, market share, and distribution on an enterprise-wide basis. Direct full range of sales activities for the assigned area through the sales team.
Daily/Position Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):- Identify and implement strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives
- Set short and long-term priorities and develops annual goals while adhering to budgeting, forecasting, and final control processes
- Conduct sales reviews with each assigned division to address market-specific tactics, revise forecasts, and support achievement of supplier priorities
- Monitor performance to meet expense and revenue objectives
- Develop and implement effective sales plans and programs to drive growth, generate revenue, and increase market share
- Establish and maintain high-level, executive contact with accounts, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships
- Manage the execution of sales processes and leverage appropriate resources to drive sales objectives
- Build and develop a high performing sales team
- Evaluate market activity and business intelligence, and recommend action plans as needed
- Coach, direct, counsel team and overall performance, define expectations and monitor progress
- Attract, retain and motivate the team to maintain an engaging work environment and to ensure sound policies and procedures adhered to
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ten years of experience
- Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
- Must possess a valid driver's license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance by state laws
Preferred Qualifications: - MBA or higher degree in a field related to business management and sales is desirable
- Proficient working knowledge of computerized applications, for example, word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software, email, and specialized business applications software
- Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and facilitate discussion with all levels of management
- Interpersonal skills required to lead a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and relevant stakeholders
- Knowledge of applicable state regulations and adult beverage market dynamics
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and lead colleagues and direct reports by example in an intense and fast-paced business environment
- Must require little direction or supervision; goal-oriented focused, and assertive
- Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain a high level of quality output
- Strong analytical, leadership and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to understand and manage budgets, profitability, and expenses
- Prior budgetary and finance oversight/management responsibilities
Compensation:Southern Glazer's offers a competitive compensation package with expected annual total earnings between $175,000 - $225,000/year including incentives. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
