Job Description:OverviewThis position will work with senior leaders at the firm to build, support and manage communications and advocacy campaigns for clients across issue areas.
A successful candidate will have experience supporting clients and/or multifaceted campaigns, excellent interpersonal skills and will possess strong project and team management skills. Experience creating and overseeing high-quality deliverables, ensuring the accuracy of details. Willingness to be an agile, flexible team player is a must. The ideal candidate will have a public affairs, public relations, nonprofit or political background and experience managing multichannel communications and advocacy campaigns.
The position will be based in Washington, DC, where our culture includes being in the office 3 days a week.
Qualifications- 8-10 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, public affairs, social media, campaign or political communications.
- Experience managing a team of mid-level managers and junior staff under tight deadlines while displaying strong people skills and ensuring quality deliverables.
- Experience interfacing directly with clients in a fast-paced environment and preparing and staffing senior executives.
- Strong project management skills and ability to ensure teams are meeting established goals, timelines, and budgets
- Experience with multichannel communications strategies and tactics, including earned media, social and paid media, and event execution.
- Proven ability to develop and edit high-quality written materials, including press releases, executive thought leadership (including bylines), social media copy, talking points, executive briefing materials, analytical pieces, website/creative copy, and more.
- Account and budget management experience - familiarity with agency billing practices, scoping projects and managing budgets.
The anticipated salary range for the Vice President level is $115,000-$150,000.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
