Job Summary

Leads the strategic direction and execution of the organizational product development process to ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives. Drives innovation and efficiency by championing a customer-centric approach and delivering high-quality, value-driven outputs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives and mitigate risks, ultimately enhancing the organization's competitive edge and fostering a culture of excellence in product management.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to define and articulate the product management strategy, driving the development and implementation of strategic initiatives informed by market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback, ultimately aligning with overall organizational objectives to foster product innovation, differentiation, and market growth.
  • Designs and establishes robust processes and frameworks for product management, ensuring continuous assessment and refinement to optimize efficiency, quality, and timely execution, while offering guidance and support to cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Partners with departmental leaders to standardize product management practices across functional areas and business units by establishing clear guidelines, templates, and metrics, conducting regular reviews and audits to monitor adherence, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for C-level executives, particularly the Chief Information Officer, regarding product management initiatives, delivering consistent updates, valuable insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership regarding the progress, effectiveness, and strategic trajectory of product management endeavors.
  • Formulates a clear and inspiring vision for the product management team, delineating goals, priorities, and success metrics, while fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors industry trends and conducts market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback surveys to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement, while sharing insights with internal stakeholders to guide strategic decision-making.

Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 10+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management role having significant business impact.
