Responsibilities

Related Digital is seeking a Vice President, Procurement to lead OFCI (Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed) equipment sourcing and category strategy across its data center development pipeline. This role leads the sourcing strategy, OEM relationships, and supply chain risk management for critical long lead equipment, including generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and cooling infrastructure. The right candidate will be a commercially sharp negotiator with deep category expertise, comfortable operating at the intersection of procurement, construction, and capital planning in a fast-growing platform.

  • Set OFCI category strategy across critical equipment, including generators, switchgear (MV/LV), transformers, UPS systems, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, CDUs, BAS, pumps, motors, and compressors, across the Related Digital pipeline.
  • Develop and manage strategic OEM relationships and master supply agreements, negotiating pricing, terms, and capacity commitments at the platform level.
  • Drive standardization and pre-specification of equipment across the pipeline to secure factory capacity and simplify sourcing.
  • Drive early equipment ordering decisions, often ahead of design completion, in coordination with Development, to protect energization and commissioning dates.
  • Manage portfolio-wide supply chain risk, including manufacturing capacity constraints, market dynamics, and delivery commitments.
  • Manage the commercial and vendor impact when project scope or equipment specifications change.
  • Lead supplier business reviews to assess performance, quality, and risk, strengthening accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver measurable cost savings and total cost of ownership improvements across the OFCI equipment portfolio.
  • Build out procurement processes, tools, and reporting to support the function as it scales alongside the pipeline.
  • Partner closely with Design & Construction, Site Selection, and Development teams to align equipment specifications, delivery schedules, and project milestones.
  • Represent procurement in cross-functional discussions on project budgets, schedules, and risk.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience, including significant experience with mechanical, electrical, or power generation equipment categories.
  • Proven track record negotiating and managing large-scale OEM and supplier relationships, including master supply agreements.
  • Experience navigating long lead time equipment procurement in a capital-intensive, project-based environment; data center, power generation, energy, or large-scale construction/infrastructure experience preferred.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to structure and close complex agreements.
  • Ability to manage supply chain risk and capacity constraints across multiple concurrent, large-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with major OEMs and equipment manufacturers in the data center or power generation industry a plus.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering with design, construction, and finance teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • Ability to travel to project sites across the portfolio.
  • Willingness to be based in Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; or New York, NY. Other locations may be considered for candidates willing to travel.
