POSITION SUMMARY:

Support the organization's mission to provide superior quality, lasting value, and outstanding customer service through the day-to-day workflow processes that affect the organization. The Vice President of Sales will provide strategic direction and leadership and development to the Owner Sales, Signature Collection, Owner Relations Specialists, and Customer Care Owner.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

  • Directs and coordinates activities of the sales operation in accomplishing objectives and policies and defined sales goals.
  • Administers sales department budget preparation and reviews sales performance against approved budget objectives.
  • Directly accountable for achieving the net sales budget for the division while managing costs to ensure profitability.
  • Responsible for monthly financial reporting.
  • Maintains and constantly improves the company's competitive position. Ensures maximum sales volume at minimum cost.
  • Develops and implements strategic plans to reduce rescission rate based on department goals.
  • Establishes sales forecasts; develops and manages sales budget for the division.
  • Analyzes and aligns appropriate staff levels to support Marketing's strategies.
  • Manages sales directors and managers with frequent interaction.
  • Responsible for recruiting and selecting and developing the right team members for the right positions.
  • Establishes training program for sales staff and ensures implementation.
  • Manage compensation strategy to drive sales while maintaining budgetary goals.
  • Analyze competition, customer and product and develop and implement effective strategies to maximize sales.
  • Establishes strategies and goals to maximize efficiencies.
  • Works closely with marketing and recommends advertising and marketing plan for the division.
  • Responsible for overall appearance of sales center and sales presentation.
  • Develops expansion strategy into new markets and executes plan.
  • Participate in trade shows and stays current with market trends and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Participate/assist on special projects as assigned.
  • Ensure conformance of all company and departmental standards and policies and procedures.
  • Ensures seamless communications and works closely with Marketing.
  • Directs the administration of all sales service activities and develops and maintains favorable relations with customers. Makes certain satisfactory customer service is provided.
  • Provides development, mentoring and sets clear expectations to all directors and managers in each job related function.
  • Reviews all customer cancellations and resolves all customer service challenges.
  • Performs all other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Senior Vice President of Sales Operations that are deemed instrumental to a successful sales operation.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five years of timeshare experience, including two within a Timeshare Sales & Marketing operation.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic direction by analyzing current business results and anticipated business conditions.
  • Superb presentation skills with experience conveying information in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • Strong and proactive decision making ability and strong problem resolution skills.
  • Strong goal orientation and advanced knowledge of sales concepts.
  • Experience identifying and resolving problems arising from employee relation issues, customers, policy/procedural changes, etc.
  • Gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various problems, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain attention to detail and follow through.
  • Compelling leadership abilities.
  • Self-directed and independent but works as a team player.
  • Persuasive interpersonal skills to gain acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, service or product from guests and co-workers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Active Florida Real Estate License preferred but not required

Supervises:Owner Sales Team, Signature Collection Team, Owner Relations Specialists, and Customer Care Team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, sit; use hands and finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, and ability to adjust focus. WORKING CONDITIONS:

The incumbent in this position spends the majority of the time in an air-conditioned office. Incumbent must be flexible to adapt to immediate changing situations and environments based on staff and guests needs.
