Job DescriptionThe Vice President, Oral Health Services is accountable for building, scaling, and operating a high-growth portfolio of oral health services. This leader translates innovation into commercially viable, operationally disciplined offerings that deliver measurable value to patients, providers, and the enterprise. The role balances innovation with execution excellence, financial stewardship, and operational scalability.
Responsibilities- Leads the end-to-end development and scaling of innovative oral health products and services from concept through enterprise integration
- Establishes innovation frameworks, including stage-gates, success metrics, and investment criteria to guide emerging solution development
- Designs and implements integrated dental-medical collaboration models to enhance care delivery and outcomes
- Develops and executes growth strategies, including market entry, expansion, and scalable operating models for Emerge services
- Partners with Finance to manage revenue forecasts, operating margins, and investment prioritization decisions
- Drives operational performance across cost, quality, cycle time, and scalability through disciplined performance management practices
- Establishes, monitors, and reports on KPIs aligned to growth, patient experience, quality, and financial outcomes
- Leads cross-functional collaboration to ensure operational alignment with enterprise strategy, regulatory requirements, and market demands
- Oversees resource management, including workforce, technology, and budget, to achieve operational and innovation objectives
- Directs the design and continuous improvement of patient-centric experiences, incorporating feedback and technology to enhance satisfaction and outcomes
Qualifications- 16+ years w/Bachelor's Degree; 10+ years supervisory
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Dental Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Progressive leadership experience building and scaling products, services, or operations in healthcare or adjacent industries"
- Demonstrated experience owning outcomes (growth, performance, scale)
- Experience operating in ambiguous, growth-stage environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare operations, oral health service delivery models, and integrated care frameworks
- Ability to develop and execute growth strategies in complex, multi-market healthcare environments
- Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, margin management, and investment analysis
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale products, services, or operating models in growth-stage environments
- Expertise in operational performance management, including KPI development and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to lead enterprise-level innovation initiatives and translate strategy into execution
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, including the ability to engage, align, and develop high-performing teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, assess risk, and make data-driven decisions in evolving market conditions
- Strong collaboration and influence skills across clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex strategies into clear, actionable plans
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 28. $249,470 - $399,152.
