JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an experienced, strategy driven leader with a track record of building high functioning teams, who loves growing a brand, is customer obsessed, has a passion for flawless execution, and naturally models strong leadership and success.

The Vice President of Operational Excellence will be responsible for executing the brand strategy to drive Take 5 Oil Change unit growth profitability and excellent customer experience. This position will be instrumental in leading the development and execution of all aspects of operational process and labor standards, training, customer service, project management, loss prevention, and local fleet growth. They will develop and execute end-to-end, go to market strategies with all collateral, and support for preparation, launch, and ongoing execution and continuous improvement of the strategy.

The VP must have a strong aptitude for analyzing and actioning data to assess and improve business process, execution, efficiency and overall company performance. They will drive change as they lead the execution of short and long- term strategies. The Vice President will lead by empowering their team and field teams to achieve operational excellence and store level profitability.

How you will Own It:

  • This individual is responsible for controlling, designing, and optimizing resources and controllables to support the efficient growth of the 700+ corporately owned Take 5 Oil Change shop operations. This work will include collaboration with the field and 3rd party vendors to understand labor impacts at shop level. They will be responsible for designing, implementing and evolving the in shop labor model to maximize productivity, sales growth and expense control.


  • They will work closely with Operations Field Leaders and Finance partners to drive compliance to the labor and expense management programs and engage with process and efficiency improvements across the operations system. This individual will support Operations process design and process change through data analytics, and control cost of goods and expense management within the Take 5 Oil Change corporate shop system, including leadership of the Director of Loss Prevention and their team to control cash, inventory and other losses through use of technology, data and process design.


  • Lead Claims Management teams to include process improvements, use of data and information to identify and impact root cause. They will work closely with field operations and other cross functional partners and vendors to create actions and processes to reduce customer claims, including tools, equipment, processes, and training.Lead and develop teams of highly engaged operators, leaders and instructors as they create and enable operations and systems to grow average unit volume and profitability.


  • Consult with and advise field leaders to standardize best practices to operations and an improved customer experience to drive unit level sales and profitability.


  • Drive operational efficiencies and systems to enable improved sales, service, and experience to protect the brand and communicate effectively with our stores and business partners.


  • Identify and drive continuous improvement and evolution to increase profitability through operational efficiencies, tools, and resources (i.e. operational procedures, equipment).


  • Seek feedback from and provide feedback to leaders, peers, reports, and business partners.


  • Collaborate with functional areas throughout the company to improve end-to-end processes and customer and employee experiences.


What you'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field


  • Master's degree preferred


  • 5+ years in operations and training experience in a fast-paced company, with deep knowledge of operational processes, project management, and learning and development to drive business results


  • Demonstrated history of success in leading operational excellence, training, project management, customer experience, and loss prevention.


  • 3+ years of experience in leading and developing operational strategies for a growth organization, with specific responsibilities for leading new business processes, learning and development projects and programs, performance consulting, and/or strategic planning.


  • Experience in a high growth brand a plus


  • Demonstrated ability to create positive, efficient teams through mentorship, coaching and feedback


  • Strong ability to strategize and clearly articulate and execute a vision from inception to measured results


  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, high growth environment


  • Strong communication skills within all levels of an organization including communication with C-Suite, vendors, field teams, and cross-functional teams.

$213,900.00 - $381,900.00

Compensation Frequency:
Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
