POSITION SUMMARY The Vice President of Sales will provide strategic and hands-on commercial leadership across SREE Hotels' portfolio, with primary responsibility for driving sales performance, market share growth, and topline revenue across key group and transient segments. Working closely with Hotel General Managers, Revenue Management, Marketing, and property sales teams, the VPS will develop and execute portfolio and property-specific sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, strengthen account penetration, and ensure resources are focused against the optimal revenue opportunities. This role requires a highly engaged leader who excels at developing and mentoring sales teams, building and converting pipelines, establishing clear performance expectations, and driving accountability. The VPS will balance long-term growth planning with day-to-day revenue execution, while guiding market initiatives and ensuring broader commercial strategies are aligned to support the positioning, revenue goals, and overall performance at each hotel.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES- Design and execute the development and execution of portfolio and property-specific sales strategies designed to grow topline revenue, market share, and performance across key group and transient segments.
- Cultivate a proactive sales ethos, focused on new business development, account penetration, prospecting, and conversion across group, corporate, consortia, and catering/events.
- Direct and guide property sales teams in developing local and national accounts, identifying new revenue opportunities, and maximizing opportunities throughout the portfolio.
- Ensure sales strategies and priorities are consistently executed across the portfolio while remaining relevant to each hotel's positioning, market dynamics, and business needs.
- Analyze and monitor sales pipelines, pace, production, and performance against revenue and room goals; identify deficiencies and create actionable initiatives to focus on areas of opportunity.
- Evaluate and monitor hotel sales action plans, ensuring the priorities, management, timelines, and next steps are defined and executed.
- Establish and maintain sales performance standards, accountability measures, and processes that improve individual and team productivity and effectiveness.
- Provide high level leadership to sales team members across the group, corporate, and consortia segments to achieve assigned objectives, with overall responsibility for achieving booking goals and hotel(s) revenues; actively coaching, mentoring, and developing sales leaders.
- Partner closely with Revenue Management on pricing, yield, and strategy to align sales targets, group ceilings, BAR positioning, consortia and corporate rate loading, and channel mix to optimize RevPAR and total revenue across the portfolio
- Manage the development of annual sales and marketing plans, budgets, goals, and strategic priorities for all hotels.
- Oversee execution of brand sales initiatives, RFP strategies and submissions, brand programs, and applicable sales training across the portfolio.
- Conduct regular property visits to evaluate sales execution, team performance, market opportunities, and identify areas that may need action or additional support.
- Communicate company commercial direction, procedures, expectations, and best practices to property leadership and sales teams.
- Analyze sales reporting and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and ensure appropriate follow-through at the property level.
- Drive corporate account marketing, including RFP response strategy, preferred-program positioning, and account-based marketing initiatives to top corporate and TMC accounts
- Plan and lead the company's presence at key industry trade shows and client, to maximize qualified lead generation and client engagement
- Set performance goals, expectations and incentives for direct reports. Promptly address and manage any performance issues and hold teams accountable for results
QUALIFICATIONS- 8+ years of progressive hotel sales leadership experience, preferably within a regional, or multi-property environment.
- Previous leadership experience within select-service, full-service, or similarly positioned hotels preferred.
- Marriott, Hilton, and/or Hyatt experience preferred.
- Strong B2B hotel sales expertise across group, corporate, consortia, and catering/events segments.
- Demonstrated success driving topline revenue, market share growth, new business development, account penetration, and conversion.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue management principles, including demand patterns, pricing, segmentation, need periods, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate high-performing sales teams.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen with the ability to interpret performance data, KPIs, market trends, and business intelligence.
- STS, Envision, OneSource, Delphi and/or CI/TY sales systems experience preferred.
- Experience with hotel sales and reporting platforms, CRM systems, RFP tools, market intelligence resources, and related hospitality technology.
- Strong understanding of pipeline management, account development, prospecting strategies, and performance measurement.
- Ability to effectively balance strategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on problem solving within a fast-paced, multi-property environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, hotel leadership, and ownership stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills with the ability to navigate multiple properties and competing business priorities.
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel up to 20%, as needed.
JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to travel when necessary to meet business requirements. Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, to tour properties and attend functions, to climb stairs, and operate basic office equipment. Must possess a valid state driver's license in order to make sales calls.
